We plan the garden around where the pod is going: how you reach it, what you see from it, what it looks back at. Decided before it arrives rather than worked around afterwards.

Foundations done properly

Armstrong digs, drains and levels for the pod the same way we do for any structure. No paving slabs on bare ground.

Planting around the pod

The deck, the path to the back door, the screening from neighbours and the planting that softens the cladding, drawn and installed at the same time as the pod.

Timber tones, deck detail, paving and planting chosen against the pod's cladding, so it reads as part of the garden rather than something delivered to it.

Reach out by email, phone or the enquiry form. We cover what you want the pod to do, what the garden around it needs to do, and the realistic budget range across the five urbanpods models. If it's the right fit we introduce you to urbanpods, who take the pod from there.

Pod survey and quote

~ 90 minutes on site

Urbanpods arrange their own visit, check access, levels and ground conditions for the ground screws, and quote you directly. Permitted Development and any planning on the pod sit with them.

Garden Quote & Design

1-2 weeks

Separately, we look at what surrounds the pod: how you get to it, what you see from it, screening, levels and planting. You get an Armstrong quote for that work, VAT included, valid 90 days.

Manufacturing & install date

4-8 weeks lead time

On a 10% deposit the pod enters the UrbanPods build queue. Manufacturing runs 4-8 weeks depending on model and configuration. Armstrong holds your install date and starts the foundation works the week before delivery.

Installation

3-14 days on site

The pod is craned into position or built on site using the prepared foundations. The internal fit-out, glazing and electrical connections are then completed. Armstrong can also coordinate the surrounding decking, planting, pathways and screening.

Completion

1 day handover

On completion we walk the pod with you, sign off any final snags, and hand over the aftercare guide for the cladding, glazing and surrounding planting. The UrbanPods 10-year structural warranty starts on this date; Armstrong’s three-year landscape guarantee covers the deck and planting.
